Our mentoring project provides children with dedicated 1:1 time in a public space with a trusted adult every week for six months. Sessions last 3-4 hours and focus on building a safe, consistent relationship through quality time, exploring interests, and positive experiences. This support helps improve confidence, emotional wellbeing and stability, giving children a reliable adult presence and space to feel valued.

“Being part of the mentoring programme has been deeply transformative for both my mentee and me. I am truly grateful to have gotten to know my mentee and their family, and that I can be someone they rely on and trust. I’ve gently encouraged my mentee to come out of their shell, and I try to lead by example by showing up every single week. That consistency has mattered. Over time, it’s helped us build real trust.” – Helen
